Role overview
CrazyGames, one of the world's largest browser game platforms with over 60 million monthly active users, is doubling down on its IP portfolio. They are seeking a Senior LiveOps Developer who has experience taking mobile titles through soft launch and global launch to build and manage the live systems that keep games growing. This is a hands-on development role focused on existing codebases rather than greenfield development. The developer will be responsible for deciding what games need, owning the LiveOps roadmap, and ensuring a repeatable system is established across the IP portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Write the code for the events, the progression systems, the offers, the economy and the remote config that keep a game growing.
- Look at a game's numbers and decide what should ship next and why.
- Within 1 month: onboard to a live published title, get comfortable in its codebase, ship the first live update to production on web and mobile, and provide a read on what the LiveOps setup is missing.
- Within 3 months: own the LiveOps roadmap for at least one title, set an update cadence, and ship a meaningful live system (event framework, progression, offers, remote config, economy tuning) with visible effects in retention or monetization.
- Within 6 months: take a title through the run-up to global launch, ensuring live systems, the event calendar, balancing, and tooling are in place before UA scales.
- Within 12 months: establish LiveOps as a repeatable system across the IP portfolio with multiple live titles running in parallel on a set cadence, tooling, and playbook.
- Look at retention, session length, ARPDAU and conversion for a live title, and decide what to build next.
- Ship a seasonal event, content drop or offer to live IP games on web and mobile.
- Build the live system behind updates: event framework, remote config, A/B test, progression or economy change.
- Dive into an unfamiliar codebase to plan how a new system slots in without breaking existing functionality.
- Determine if a game is ready for global launch and identify what must exist first.
- Design and implement new game modes, progression systems, or monetization hooks tailored to the genre.
- Align with the Publishing team on the LiveOps roadmap and prioritization across titles.
- Maintain clean Git history, document actions, and ensure subsequent updates are easier to implement.
Requirements
- 2+ years running LiveOps on shipped mobile titles (update cadence, events, progression, economy, offers, and the reasoning behind them).
- Experience with mobile soft launch and global launch, knowing what must be in place before UA scales.
- Ability to bring a playbook for running live titles based on experience with strong mobile publishers.
- 3+ years of professional game development experience with shipped titles and remaining hands-on in building live systems.
- Ability to read metrics (retention, session length, ARPDAU, conversion and cohort behaviour) to drive development decisions.
- Strong mobile game development experience (iOS and Android) with understanding of performance, input, and UX differences across platforms.
- Experience using analytics, A/B testing, remote config, and live tooling as part of a normal workflow.
- Comfortable with monetization and ads SDKs in a LiveOps context (events, offers, balancing).
- Fluency in multiple languages and ecosystems, at minimum C# and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid grasp of software architecture and OOP principles.
- Ability to step into an existing codebase, read it, understand it, and extend it confidently.
- Effective use of Git in team environments with a commitment to improving the codebase.
- Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and focused on shipping high-quality updates fast.
- Strong team player with an ownership mindset, collaborating openly and taking full responsibility for shipped work.
- Proficient in English (working language).
Nice to have
- Web game development experience.
- Multiplayer and networking experience: client/server architecture, real-time sync, matchmaking, dedicated servers (or a strong excitement to learn).
- Game design instincts: ability to provide informed opinions on what to build next, fitting features to genres/audiences, and keeping experiences cohesive.
- Ability to speak Turkish (mother tongue of most members of the Publishing team).
Benefits
- Join a rapidly growing publishing team at a company with 50M+ monthly users and proven platform reach.
- Make a real impact by directly shaping the games millions of people actually play, week after week.
- A lot of responsibility and freedom; trust to deliver excellent results.
- Flexible working hours and location.
- 1 to 2 team weeks per year with flights and accommodation paid for.
- The opportunity to play games and claim it's work.
Additional details
- Remote - Full Time
- This role is not greenfield game development or working through a feature backlog written by someone else.
