The Senior Full Stack Engineer role sits within Rosterfy's growing SaaS engineering team, reporting to a Technical Lead, and focuses on delivering high-quality software across the Rosterfy stack, contributing to platform architecture evolution, and playing a key role in transitioning to a principle-led, product-focused engineering model with emphasis on scalability, quality, documentation, and collaboration. The role specifically supports Rosterfy's evolution towards version 3 with event-driven architecture and domain-driven development.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to your Technical Lead, this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality software across the Rosterfy stack as part of a growing SaaS engineering team.
- You’ll contribute to the evolution of our platform architecture, influence engineering practices, and ship features that support some of the world’s largest volunteer programs.
- You’ll play a key role in our transition to a principle-led, product-focused engineering model — with a strong emphasis on scalability, quality, documentation, and collaboration.
- Design and deliver scalable features using Laravel, PHP, React/Next.js, and AWS
- Collaborate closely with QA, Product, and Design to deliver features with user impact in mind
- Build and evolve APIs, integrations, and reusable components
- Participate in improving CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and system performance
- Lead by example in code quality, documentation, and peer mentorship
- Contribute to architectural improvements, technical discovery (feature scoping) and execution of our engineering strategy
- Ensure accessibility and localisation across our multi-region SaaS platform
- Maintain compliance-minded engineering practices (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Lead by example in test strategy and validation
- Own test coverage, pipeline health, and regression control
Requirements
- 4+ years building SaaS products end-to-end, ideally in multi-region environments.
- Comfortable working across the full stack — from frontend to backend.
- Strong with Laravel (or modern PHP frameworks) and modern frontend tools (React, Next.js, or Vue), XDebug, writing unit tests.
- Front and Back end Engineering expertise.
- Mobile (React Native)
- Experience working in ISO/SOC2 compliant environments
- Understands accessibility, scalability, and localisation for global users
- Comfortable operating in cloud-native stacks using AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling
- Experienced in designing within and around a modular monolith architecture
- Skilled in relational databases (Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL), with a strong focus on data modelling for scale and performance

- Experience with data products like Looker, BigQuery, or analytics pipelines
- Exposure to event-driven systems, asynchronous workflows, or message queues (e.g. AWS SQS, Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Experience with design systems | frontend architecture
- Passionate about product quality and customer experience
- Experience with platform engineering or building shared infrastructure in modular monoliths
- Any exposure to AI driven tooling, systems
- Feature delivery velocity (Copilot, Gemini, test automation, scaffolding)
- Building AI-augmented product experiences (LLM API usage, prompt design)
- Coaching others on integrating GenAI into workflows
