Get to know the role As such, we are seeking experienced & passionate Engineers to join our team, As part of Grab's payment's team you will be responsible of designing, delivering and maintaining high quality and scalable solutions to meet the payments needs of Grab. You will be reporting to Engineering Manager II Workplace Type: This role will be onsite and based in the Bangalore office. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform: Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems using a platform-driven approach Mentor a team of software engineers, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Collaborate with teams to define technical strategies and feature specifications Make high-level design decisions and establish technical standards for software development Optimise system performance, reliability, and efficiency across the product ecosystem You provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices. Partner with DevOps teams to enhance system scalability and operational efficiency Stay current with latest technologies and industry trends to lead innovation within the team The Essential Skills You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on designing and building scalable systems Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking Proficiency in at least one backend programming language Golang Extensive experience with backend systems, including databases, caching, NoSQL, and application servers Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Demonstrated leadership in driving technical decisions and defining engineering standards Life at Grab We care about your well-being at Grab, here are some of the global benefits we offer: We have your back with Term Life Insurance and comprehensive Medical Insurance.
