Role overview

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, and drive continuous improvements in automation frameworks, testing processes, and CI/CD practices. This role reports to the QA Lead.
Responsibilities
- Automate and maintain end-to-end integration tests as a Software Developer in Test.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end UI, API, integration, BDD, and performance automation tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright and performance testing tools.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to accelerate test creation, improve productivity, and enhance test quality.
- Create, maintain, and execute BDD feature files (Gherkin) while collaborating with QA Engineers, developers, and product teams to identify automation opportunities and expand test coverage.
- Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to automation standards, best practices, and maintainable test architecture.
- Support engineering teams by troubleshooting automation issues, analyzing performance bottlenecks, providing technical guidance, and maintaining reliable test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in QA Automation, with hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve automation efficiency and productivity.
- Hands-on experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber, or similar, including writing and maintaining Gherkin feature files.
- Strong experience in UI, API, and integration test automation, with a solid understanding of automation frameworks and test design principles.
- Proficient in developing reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions while following coding standards and best practices.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and improve software quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and advocate for quality engineering practices.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6 (Preferred), JMeter).
- Experience in Salesforce (Sales Cloud/Service Cloud) test automation.
- Experience working with AWS, ERP systems, relational databases, and SQL.
