Role Overview We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Security Engineer Intern to join our growing cybersecurity team. This internship is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with less than one year of experience who are eager to build a career in cybersecurity. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in real-world security assessments, vulnerability management, cloud security, and security operations while working alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills, learn industry best practices, and contribute to live client security projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) for web applications, APIs, mobile applications, network infrastructure, and cloud environments. Perform vulnerability scanning, validation, and remediation verification using industry-standard security tools. Support security configuration reviews for servers, endpoints, firewalls, Microsoft 365, AWS, and Azure environments. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and remediation recommendations. Research emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and security best practices. Participate in client security assessments and internal cybersecurity projects. Collaborate with senior security consultants during security testing and report reviews. Continuously learn and improve technical skills through hands-on assignments and training. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing final year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline. Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals. Knowledge of common security concepts, including the OWASP Top 10 and basic network security principles. Familiarity with security tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark, Nessus/OpenVAS, or similar tools. Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems. Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is an added advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates pursuing or holding certifications such as Security+, eJPT, CEH, or equivalent will have an added advantage. What We Offer Hands-on experience with live client cybersecurity projects.
