Role overview
The Product Management team at Rubrik drives the company’s vision by delivering market-leading data management and security solutions, focusing on application-aware backups that secure customer data without compromising user experience. Rubrik seeks an innovative Staff Product Manager to join the Cloud Data Protection team, responsible for guiding the strategy and execution of data protection for public cloud workloads. The role involves close collaboration with customers, sales, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, industry-leading data management solutions on schedule and with the highest quality, balancing customer and business needs while leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for product strategy, roadmap, and execution of data backup and recovery for public cloud services/applications (such as Azure Instances, AzureSQL)
- Collaborate with engineering, support, design, and marketing teams to plan, build and launch high-quality product experiences
- Write PRDs, manage project execution, help create and define product roll-out strategy
- Process, review, and interpret customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights
- Develop, manage and communicate the product roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders
- Perform market/competitive analysis, prioritize product features and clearly articulate decisions and tradeoffs
- Represent your product in front of customers in both pre and post sales situations
- Help identify and establish key technology and sales partnerships
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 8+ years of extensive product, planning, communication, organization, and people influence skills
- Prior experience in administering and/or developing solutions that require domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Azure Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Data Backup & Recovery solutions
- Must have business acumen and ability to build business cases, communicate effectively with professionally done presentations and write-ups, influence others, and measure success
- Thorough knowledge of public cloud ecosystem and software development methods and processes
- Ability to be self-motivated towards the achievement and measurement of established goals
- Aptitude to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with both the client and internal staff members and to deal effectively with high velocity, fast growth work environments
Nice to have
- MBA or Masters in Engineering
