Key highlights
- 3‑6+ years of relevant technical experience required.
- Fully remote, global‑distributed team.
- Strong programming skills in NodeJS and C/C++.
- Experience creating high‑quality technical video demos.
Role overview
Technical Content Creator at Tether, responsible for building and showcasing practical peer‑to‑peer demos using the Pear platform and Bare runtime, translating complex protocol work into clear developer‑focused content, and driving adoption through influencer collaborations. The role is fully remote, requires strong programming and video production skills, and works closely with core engineering teams to prototype and demo decentralized applications.
Responsibilities
- Build Practical Demos: Independently build functional peer-to-peer applications and infrastructure setups using the Pear platform and the Bare runtime with minimal engineering hand‑holding.
- Record Technical Demos: Record clear, engaging, and high‑quality screen‑share walkthroughs and video demos of builds, highlighting code operation, peer discovery, sync, and delivered value.
- Translate Code to Content: Turn complex protocol updates, cryptographic primitives, and technical documentation into highly visual, digestible developer content such as code‑along videos, step‑by‑step guides, and interactive repositories.
- Collaborate with Core Devs: Work closely with P2P protocol and product engineering teams to stay ahead of upcoming Pear and Bare features.
- Prototypes: Rapidly prototype application concepts (e.g., peer‑to‑peer chat, file‑sync, data‑replication demos) to demonstrate how developers can launch resilient, serverless products using the ecosystem.
- Fuel Influencer‑Led Developer Adoption: Partner with technical influencers, developer advocates, and content creators, providing turn‑key assets, co‑creating code‑along challenges, and supplying high‑quality demos and prototypes to inspire and onboard new developers.
Requirements
- 3 to 6+ years of experience in a technical role such as Technical Content Creation, Solutions Engineering, or Backend/Systems Development.
- Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in languages used across the ecosystem (e.g., NodeJS, C/C++) to interact confidently with peer‑to‑peer networking and runtime internals.
- Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of peer‑to‑peer (P2P) networking, distributed systems, hypercore/append‑only‑log style data structures, and decentralized application architecture.
- Demo/Video Production Skills: Experience recording and editing polished technical screen‑shares, terminal recordings, or video tutorials (using tools like Loom, Camtasia, Screenflow, etc.).
- Developer Empathy: Ability to assess a complex P2P protocol or runtime and determine the most compelling demo or sample project to excite developers and infrastructure operators.
- Self‑Starter Mindset: Comfortable working autonomously in a remote, distributed environment across global time zones.
