Role overview
Neuroelectrics designs and manufactures wearable medical devices that combine high-density EEG with non-invasive neurostimulation to monitor and modulate brain activity, helping researchers and clinicians tackle challenging neurological and psychiatric conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, depression, and Alzheimer's. Their technology is used in leading universities, hospitals, and research centres in more than 30 countries, and the company is now expanding its commercial footprint in the EU. We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead our commercial activity across the EU on a freelance basis. This is a strategic, hands‑on role for an experienced sales professional who knows the EU research and clinical landscape, enjoys representing breakthrough technology, and wants the autonomy of a self‑employed contract. You will own the EU market end‑to‑end — building the pipeline, closing deals, and acting as the local face of Neuroelectrics for universities, hospitals, research institutes, and key opinion leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the EU sales plan for our EEG and non‑invasive brain stimulation portfolio.
- Build and nurture a strong pipeline across academic, clinical and research institutions.
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, technical demos (with support from our product team), proposal, negotiation and close.
- Represent Neuroelectrics at conferences, trade shows and customer sites.
- Monitor the market — competitors, pricing, trends, funding cycles — and adjust the strategy accordingly.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts; report progress against targets to the Sales Director.
- Work closely with our Marketing and Product Management teams to align messaging, gather customer insights and shape the EU go‑to‑market.
Requirements
- At least 3 years in sales, with a must‑have hunter mentality.
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets in the EU market.
- Bachelor's degree in business, plus a technical or scientific background (or equivalent experience).
- Clinical understanding: knowledge of EEG technology, including routine EEG, Ambulatory EEG, LTM (Long‑Term Monitoring), and cEEG in the ICU.
- Comfortable creating and executing a sales plan, analysing data and reporting on progress.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Self‑employed status in the UK (UTR / VAT registration as applicable), legally able to invoice as a contractor.
- Willingness to travel up to 50–60% within the assigned territory for client site visits and clinical trials.
Nice to have
- Experience selling medical devices, scientific instruments or research equipment.
- Direct experience with EEG, neurostimulation, neuroimaging or neuroscience‑related technology.
- Established network across neuroscience, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation or academic research communities.
- Clinical or scientific background (neuroscience, biomedical engineering, psychology).
- Passionate about making a difference and gifted with a can‑do attitude.
- Reliable, responsible and respectful.
- Founder's mindset: urgency, grit, adaptable, willing to push boundaries.
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple priorities in parallel.
- Collaborative team player who gets things done.
- Committed to quality in everything you do.
Benefits
- Freelance contract on standard self‑employed terms — full autonomy over how you work.
- Fully remote, home‑based within the EU.
- The chance to bring cutting‑edge neurotechnology to the EU research and clinical community.
- Direct collaboration with a passionate, international team of scientists, engineers and clinicians.
- A real opportunity to shape a market and grow with the company.
- Competitive compensation, based on experience.
