The company is seeking a talented Level Designer to drive the development of new products, focusing on designing and implementing engaging game levels.
Responsibilities
- Design and build levels for mobile games from initial concept to final in-engine implementation
- Monitor and interpret level performance metrics
- Tune difficulty curves to maintain engagement across player skill segments, balancing challenge with accessibility
- Run and participate in playtests; collect, structure, and act on feedback from both internal sessions and real players
- Participate in A/B tests on level content and mechanics, analyse results and apply learnings to future designs
- Maintain up-to-date level design documentation, style guides, and design rationale for the team
- Propose and prototype new challenge types, obstacles, and interactive elements that fit within the game's genre and monetization mode
Requirements
- Relevant work experience in similar positions for at least 3 years in the game development industry
- Solid understanding of game flow, difficulty progression, and player retention principles
- Ability to read analytics dashboards, draw actionable conclusions, and translate them into design changes
- Systems thinking: the ability to see a level as an interconnected set of mechanics, pacing beats, and player goals
- A portfolio containing shipped levels, paper designs, or documented design rationale β required for consideration
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional teams with short iteration cycles
