Noora Health seeks a Chief Technology Officer to build and scale a technology platform supporting 100 million caregivers, enhancing its proven model of training family caregivers across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal. The CTO will shape technology strategy, lead a growing engineering team (~14 engineers), and ensure AI-driven health guidance is safe, scalable, and interoperable with government health systems. The role involves defining architecture for low-connectivity environments, fostering a high-performing engineering culture, and owning responsible AI, security, and governance in a high-stakes, multi-country context. The ideal candidate is a builder-first leader with experience in scaled product environments, AI/ML integration, and global health technology.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the architecture for a platform built to reach 100 million caregivers — resilient across low-connectivity environments, interoperable with government health systems, and designed to evolve as AI capabilities mature
- Partner closely with Noora Health’s product leadership to translate product strategy into scalable, secure, and high-quality technical systems
- Communicate the vision to all stakeholders, including team, funders, and partners, to align on where we’re going
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization (currently ~14 engineers) with a mandate to scale the team thoughtfully as the platform grows
- Foster a culture of quality, speed, and technical rigor, and help establish Noora Health as a destination for engineers who want their work to matter
- Own Noora Health’s approach to responsible AI as a technical and ethical discipline, ensuring model behavior is predictable, auditable, and safe in high-stakes health contexts; where failure modes are understood before deployment; and where the communities we serve are not harmed by the technology meant to support them
- Own technical governance across Noora Health’s digital health products and technology systems
- Partner with legal, product, and country teams to ensure Noora Health’s technology meets appropriate standards and regulatory frameworks across countries
- Represent Noora Health in technical conversations with government stakeholders, funders, technology partners, and global health collaborators
Requirements
- Built or scaled user-facing software products
- Experience in setting and executing technology strategy
- Strong judgment across scalable system design, architecture, AI/ML integration, and security
- Proven experience building and managing high-performing engineering teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Practical experience with AI-enabled products, health technology, conversational platforms, or large-scale user-facing platforms
- Familiarity with privacy, security, data governance, and responsible technology practices in sensitive or highly regulated environments
