Responsibilities
- Setup and maintain DevOps tools, cloud monitoring tools, and cloud security infrastructure
- Balance hands-on technical work with operational management
- Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage AWS and GCP cloud-based production systems to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems
- Manage build, release, and configuration management for testing and production systems
- Troubleshoot systems and solve problems across platform and application domains
- Suggest architecture improvements and recommend process improvements
- Evaluate new technology options and products
- Ensure critical system security through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions
- Stay updated on developer tools, DevOps cloud computing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Blue Green Deployment, Continuous Monitoring, automated infrastructure, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Build, and Continuous Testing
Requirements
- 3-4 years of total relevant work experience
- 2+ years of experience using a broad range of cloud technologies including AWS EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, Docker, Lambda (or equivalents in GCP and/or Azure) to develop and maintain cloud solutions, with a focus on practicing cloud security
- Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime cloud environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Windows and Linux system administration experience
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues
