Role overview
As a Product Manager – Security Prevention & Resolution at Target, you will own the India-based product execution for security prevention, detection, and resolution workflows supporting Target teams across Stores and GSCL locations. This role involves partnering with U.S. product partners, field security stakeholders, engineering, UX, data, and the broader AP Experience Product team to translate user needs, feedback, and operational requirements into clear product priorities. Your work will modernize security routines, improve visibility, standardization, and compliance, and drive scalable, data-driven security operations while ensuring thoughtful integrations across AP workflows. You will lead product discovery, prioritization, roadmap management, and stakeholder communication, grounded in user needs and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the India-based product execution for security prevention, detection, and resolution workflows that support Target teams across Stores and GSCL locations
- Help teams consistently follow critical security routines, manage visitor and vendor-related workflows, support key control and task routines, escalate issues, document outcomes, and drive consistent, data-driven security operations
- Partner closely with U.S. product partners, field security stakeholders, engineering, UX, data, and the broader AP Experience Product team to translate user needs, field feedback, operational requirements, and security signals into clear product priorities
- Create practical, scalable security capabilities that improve usability, standardization, visibility, auditability, compliance, and actionability while supporting thoughtful integrations across AP workflows
- Modernize how Target supports and measures security routines by improving visibility into whether critical processes are being followed and enabling teams to evaluate which routines are effective, which need to change, and which may no longer be needed
- Bring strong product management routines to the team, creating consistency in product discovery, prioritization, roadmap management, backlog health, stakeholder communication, metrics, and delivery planning
- Ensure decisions are grounded in user needs, measurable outcomes, operational value, and clear product strategy
- Work in the product model and collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product
- Build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product
- Work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and business partners to deliver a product
- Serve as the 'voice of the product' with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met
- Maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders
- Encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction
- Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of Product management and/or equivalent domain experience
- Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas, UI discovery and development)
- Strong facilitation skills that guide groups towards productive outcomes while maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams
- Curiosity with a passion for learning and contributing to a growth culture
