The role focuses on designing end-to-end product experiences across high-impact areas such as hiring, organizational data management, and compliance, while helping define AI-first experiences. Designers at Rippling are product builders, using AI as a fundamental part of how they explore, prototype, and ship world-class customer experiences.
Responsibilities

- Design new 0-1 experiences, improve and expand existing experiences, and execute on tactical deliverables.
- Design for both employees and HR leaders, delivering flows that feel effortless day to day while providing the control, compliance, and visibility required at scale.
- Collaborate tightly with Product and Engineering to make high-velocity decisions, ship with urgency, and advocate relentlessly for customers at every step.
- Partner closely with our Product Research team, collaborate and support research projects, and use insights in your design work.
- Champion a consumer-grade quality bar, elevating craft across the portfolio and mentoring designers in systems thinking, interaction design, and visual polish.
- Work closely with other designers to develop and expand our design system.
Requirements
- 8+ years of end-to-end product design experience shipping complex, high-impact products from concept to launch, then iterating based on what you learn.
- A portfolio that shows you can turn messy, ambiguous problems into simple, intuitive workflows, especially in complex domains.
- Active use of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in your design workflow whether for research, requirements, copy, or exploration.
- Comfort with AI-assisted prototyping tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar), even if you're not writing production code.
- Strong interaction and visual design craft, with the ability to produce polished work across edge cases and states, and communicate clear, build-ready specs.
- Relentless customer focus, backed by a habit of digging into real behavior, identifying pain points, and designing solutions that solve meaningful problems.
- Excellent communication and storytelling, from crisp async write-ups to persuasive presentations that drive alignment and decisions.
- A track record of working effectively with Product and Engineering, moving quickly while holding a high quality bar.
