Role overview

Integrated Technology Strategies is seeking a Sr. DevOps Platform Engineer to join its Consulting team. The role is offshore in India, supporting a USA‑based project and will operate on US business hours, focusing on designing, developing, and managing DevOps toolchains, cloud automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate DevOps tool stacks.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure and provision/configure resources.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines for containerized projects (Spring Boot microservices, MEAN‑stack, Angular) using Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm or PCF.
  • Onboard applications to Bitbucket and Jenkins for CI/CD using Groovy central library scripts (Fortify, Sonar, Maven, NPM, Gradle) and deploy to PCF, AWS, and Azure.
  • Use Terraform and Ansible to migrate legacy and monolithic systems to Azure services.
  • Write Terraform templates for Azure infrastructure as code to build staging and production environments.
  • Integrate Azure Log Analytics with Azure VMs for monitoring and metrics.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters via Azure portal, CLI, and ARM templates.
  • Migrate applications from Groovy (Bitbucket/Jenkins) pipelines to GitLab by writing GitLab CI YAML libraries.
  • Implement containerized applications on AKS using virtual networks, Ingress API Gateway, MySQL, Cosmos DB, and Nginx reverse proxy.
  • Orchestrate Docker deployments, scaling, and management with Kubernetes.
  • Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines to build microservices, push images to Docker registry, and deploy to Kubernetes.
  • Manage Helm charts, create reproducible builds, maintain Kubernetes manifest files, and handle Helm releases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of professional IT experience covering design, development, integration of DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure automation, provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD implementation.
  • Hands‑on expertise with Azure Cloud Platform services including Azure DevOps, Azure ARM, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure VM, Function Apps, API Apps, Azure CDN, Azure SQL, VM scale sets, Azure Data Factory, containers, load balancer, DNS, Application Gateway, Blob and Queue storage.
  • Experience with Windows Azure services (PaaS, IaaS) and storage solutions (Blob, SQL).
  • Proven experience in deployment, configuration management, and virtualization.
  • Extensive experience building CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, and PCF.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and migration of legacy systems.
  • Ability to write Azure IaC templates (Terraform) for staging and production.
  • Experience integrating Azure Log Analytics for monitoring.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (AKS) and using Helm for chart management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • Experience producing production‑grade Kubernetes workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Implementing containerized applications on AKS with virtual networks, Ingress API Gateway, MySQL, Cosmos DB, and Nginx reverse proxy.
  • Languages: Java, Python, Groovy, Shell scripting.
  • Web technologies/frameworks: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, XML, Spring Boot, Django 2.2, Visual Basic.
  • Databases/tools: SQL Server, Oracle 11g, MongoDB, JIRA, Rally, PagerDuty, ServiceNow.
  • Build tools: Maven, NPM, Ant, Gradle.
