Role overview
The Manager, Creative Strategist - APAC will lead creative strategy and testing across media and performance channels for the APAC region, ensuring every piece of creative is built to perform. This role defines testing hypotheses, briefs internal and external production teams, and brings creative expertise to events, creator and ambassador partnerships, while maintaining brand consistency and driving performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the creative strategy and testing roadmap across Meta, Google, and emerging channels for the APAC region – defining hypotheses, test structures, and success metrics
- Build and maintain a rigorous and scalable testing framework so every creative decision is grounded in performance data
- Translate performance data into clear strategic recommendations that shape upcoming creative briefs and concepts
- Brief and direct internal creative/production teams and external production specialists or agencies, providing clear strategic rationale, references, and success criteria
- Maintain a granular, evolving view of what's working at the concept, format, and message level, using this to sharpen briefs before performance dips
- Ensure creative strategy scales to each channel's mechanics while staying aligned to the media plan
- Champion a consistent testing taxonomy and briefing structure so learnings are trackable and shareable across teams
- Bring strong platform fluency and a clear point of view on where digital creative is heading, translating that into practical, testable direction
- Provide creative strategic input into monthly creator briefs for paid media activations, helping ensure messaging is conversion-focused and aligned to the media plan
- Own the creative messaging for key sponsorship properties – including EDMs, social content, and digital assets – informed by what's performing in media
- Partner closely with our creative agency and cross-functional teams to elevate the quality and consistency of creative output across APAC markets
- Share creative performance learnings with the partnerships team and content agency to help inform and refine future briefs
- Maintain a consistent AG1 brand voice and visual identity across all creative briefings and partner touchpoints, adapting to each partner's and channel’s audience and tone
- Act as the key creative partner to the Media team, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality, on-strategy assets across all funnel stages to meet testing and scaling needs
Requirements
- 4–7 years in a creative strategy, content, or production role — ideally within a D2C brand, creator economy, or similar industry
- Strong brief-writing ability; you can translate a commercial objective into a creative direction for a creator or production team that can run with it.
- Familiarity with paid media fundamentals — you understand what makes a piece of creative perform, not just look good
- Hands‑on experience across multiple content formats: social video, long‑form YouTube, email, podcast, and live/event content
- Comfortable working with external partners and talent; you can represent the brand confidently in partner‑facing conversations
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple live briefs and production timelines simultaneously without dropping quality
