Role overview

The company seeks an experienced Contract IT Support Engineer to support and scale global IT operations, working closely with the IT Manager to deliver reliable end-user support, manage devices and systems, and advance security and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for macOS, Windows, applications, network, VPN, and SSO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for users across multiple regions and time zones.
- Manage and resolve IT tickets with defined SLAs.
- Configure and provision laptops and devices using MDM tools.
- Create, modify and deactivate user accounts across business applications.
- Ensure timely access, equipment delivery, and smooth employee transitions.
- Maintain accurate device inventory and asset tracking records.
- Coordinate laptop repairs, replacements, and logistics.
- Ensure devices are configured and secured according to company standards.
- Support and administer tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Zoom, 1Password, and other applications.
- Troubleshoot application issues and support integrations.
- Monitor system dashboards for compliance and performance issues.
- Ensure endpoints meet security baselines (encryption, patching, monitoring).
- Support SOC 2 and ISO evidence collection.
- Support access reviews and compliance reporting.
- Support application integration and system improvements (Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Snowflake).
- Assist with IT-related projects tied to scaling, automation, and compliance.
- Participate in the implementation of new compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 42001).
- Maintain IT process documentation, how-to guides, and SOPs.
- Ensure asset issuance and return logs are up to date.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of IT support or systems support experience.
- Willing to work in the US shift timings.
- Strong hands-on experience with macOS and Windows laptops, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 Administration.
- Experience with MDM tools (Rippling, Intune, Jamf, Kandji).
- Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
- CompTIA Security+ and Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificates.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Jira admin, automation tools, or scripting.
- Experience working in fast-paced SaaS or startup environments.
