Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management of the Founder/CEO’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
- Manage the client's social media channels and support additional brands and channels introduced by the business.
- Maintain a clear content calendar covering production, approvals, publishing dates and platform requirements.
- Publish consistently across channels and optimise each post for its platform (captions, titles, keywords, hashtags, thumbnails, CTAs).
- Conduct a final quality check before publication to ensure every post is accurate, correctly formatted and aligned with the brand.
- Keep organised records of published content, assets, source files and results.
- Own the revision and approval stage of the short-form pipeline, reviewing finished edits quickly so completed work never sits waiting.
- Manage video editors by providing briefs, allocating work, setting deadlines
- Review every edit against a zero-error standard covering hooks, pacing, captions, accuracy, branding, audio, formatting and platform specifications.
- Provide precise, actionable revision notes so editors can resolve changes in as few rounds as possible.
- Direct the structure of short-form content by shaping hooks, opening sequences, pacing, captions, visuals and supporting footage through briefs and feedback.
- Turn long-form videos, interviews, podcasts, commentary, and existing footage into platform-native short-form content
- Maintain a reliable production pipeline that supports consistent daily publishing.
- Identify production bottlenecks early, particularly in review and approvals, and keep content moving through the workflow.
- Generate a consistent pipeline of relevant social media ideas for the CEO and the company.
- Write and refine short-form scripts, hooks, opening lines, headlines, captions and calls to action.
- Identify compelling angles that make complex property and economic topics easy to understand and interesting to a broad audience.
- Develop recurring content formats and series that can build audience familiarity and scale efficiently.
- Test different topics, hooks, formats, lengths, editing styles and publishing approaches to improve performance.
- Use audience behaviour and historical performance to determine what content should be created next.
- Track the performance of published content daily across every active platform.
- Measure views, reach, impressions, watch time, retention, completion rate, engagement, shares, saves, comments, clicks, follower growth and other relevant metrics.
- Analyse individual posts to understand the factors driving strong and weak performance.
- Turn performance data into specific recommendations for upcoming content.
- Maintain clear weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting against agreed targets.
- Identify emerging patterns early and adjust the content strategy accordingly.
- Build a feedback loop where every round of content informs the next.
- Monitor relevant Australian property, finance, business and creator accounts to understand what is gaining attention.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis covering topics, formats, hooks, posting frequency, engagement patterns and content positioning.
- Identify content gaps and emerging opportunities before they become saturated.
- Stay current with changes to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube algorithms.
- Track new platform features, formats, ranking signals and distribution behaviours.
- Test relevant platform features and emerging content formats quickly.
- Translate platform changes into practical adjustments to the content strategy.
- Manage comments, direct messages, mentions and audience interactions across active social channels.
- Respond to appropriate audience interactions in a timely and brand-aligned manner.
- Identify enquiries and potential leads that require follow-up from the relevant team.
- Monitor audience sentiment and recurring questions to identify potential content opportunities.
- Flag negative comments, complaints, misinformation and reputational risks quickly.
- Escalate sensitive interactions through the appropriate internal process.
- Identify recurring audience questions that can be turned into future content.
- Use AI throughout the content workflow to improve research, ideation, scripting, hook development, repurposing, editing, analysis and productivity.
- Stay current with emerging AI tools relevant to social media and content production.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and increase production efficiency.
Requirements
