As a Senior Product Acceleration Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving Okta's long-term product success by strategically validating, deploying, and driving global adoption of New Product Introductions (NPIs). Serving as a high-impact technical subject matter expert, you will act as a key advisory link between Okta Research and Development (ORD), Go-To-Market (GTM) field teams, and our most strategic Global 2000 (G2K) enterprise accounts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the deep technical expert on Okta's newest platform offerings and capabilities.
- Partner directly with Product Management and Engineering to provide actionable insights on integration concepts, identify feature gaps, and surface market opportunities based on strategic customer needs.
- Conduct hands-on technical implementation, troubleshooting, and rigorous interoperability testing of advanced features, with a premium focus on IGA and PAM use cases.
- Translate complex product capabilities into repeatable architectural patterns, reference models, and high-impact product demonstrations.
- Design, build, and operate an advanced lab environment specifically tailored to model complex, real-world enterprise identity ecosystems.
- Use the lab as a launchpad to stress-test NPIs, simulate scalability challenges, and power high-value solution validation programs.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Presales, Sales, and Professional Services, to address complex integration issues and inform product development.
- Facilitate effective team interaction and maintain tight alignment across global offices (e.g., USA and India).
- Deliver technical mentoring to Okta Field teams on product features and configuration patterns.
- Advocate for product adoption through the creation of thought leadership content, including technical documentation.
- Work on-site from the Okta Bangalore office a minimum of 2 days per week (hybrid role).
Requirements
- 6+ years of technical experience delivering identity and security solutions to large enterprise customers within a Go-To-Market organization (e.g., Professional Services, Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Customer Success).
- Deep domain knowledge and hands-on experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
- Strong foundational knowledge of identity federation and user management protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
- Solid understanding of enterprise cloud architectures, SaaS landscapes, and cloud-based networking constructs (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networking, or Google VPC).
- Experience installing and configuring server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong experience and interest in utilizing AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to drive individual and team efficiencies.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent, complex integration projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
- Exceptional ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS) and access control models (RBAC, ABAC).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Solutions (Active Directory, AD CS, ADFS) and Entra ID.
- Ability to leverage AI to accelerate technical documentation, automate script generation (e.g., Python, PowerShell), or streamline complex troubleshooting and log analysis workflows.

- This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week working on-site from the Okta Bangalore office.
