Role overview
Velocix is seeking engineers to join its global Engineering organization, contributing to the design, automation, deployment, and operation of cloud-native platforms and infrastructure that support mission-critical video technologies. The role is suitable for engineers at various career levels, from early-career professionals building cloud and automation expertise to experienced engineers leading platform architecture and DevOps transformation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure platform solutions.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions.
- Automate deployment, provisioning, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
- Build reusable automation frameworks and operational tooling.
- Participate in platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Design, implement, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Support engineering teams in adopting DevOps practices and automation-first approaches.
- Improve release automation and deployment processes.
- Contribute to software delivery best practices across development teams.
- Support version control, build automation, testing, and release management processes.
- Manage and support infrastructure deployed across cloud and virtualized environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design resilient and highly available systems.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Support disaster recovery, scalability, and operational readiness initiatives.
- Participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis activities.
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Architects, Product Teams, and Operations teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery activities.
- Support technical reviews, operational reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices, depending on experience level.
