Role overview
This role drives tactical and operational automation initiatives across Group Operations by enabling and sustaining automation tools, digital workflows, and reconciliation platforms within the Central Reconciliation Unit. The position focuses on ensuring platform effectiveness, supporting tool deployments, facilitating automation adoption across verticals, and working closely with operations SMEs and GRC teams to track, maintain, and evolve the automation ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Assist in rollout and stabilization of automation tools/platforms (Cypher AI, DoneZie etc.) across business units
- Work closely with Ops teams to ensure training, onboarding, and usage of tools are consistent and tracked
- Coordinate with vendors and Tech for platform enhancements, issue resolution, and roadmap alignment
- Support the Lead in documenting automation benefits (FTE savings, error reduction, turnaround improvements)
- Collaborate with GRC and internal control teams to align automation outcomes with control environment requirements
- Provide data-driven insights and monthly automation scorecards across operating units
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in banking operations
- Sound understanding of process automation technologies, reconciliation platforms, workflow engines, and risk-based controls
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on experience with data reporting, Excel, PowerPoint
- High degree of initiative, structured thinking, and comfort with cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communication skills for both training and governance-level reporting
Nice to have
- Exposure to automation tools, platform governance, or operational excellence roles
- Experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or automation management systems
