As a Senior Internal IT Engineer at Publitas, you'll build and scale the internal technology foundation that enables distributed teams to work securely, efficiently, and without friction. Publitas is a remote-first, fast-growing SaaS company helping brands turn static content into digital discovery experiences. The company hires sharp minds, trusts them fully, and measures success by real results—not busywork, hierarchy, or hand-holding.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the internal IT landscape, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable day-to-day operations across endpoints, SaaS tooling, identity, and access management.
- Drive operational maturity by creating structure, improving workflows, and reducing manual or reactive support work across the organization.
- Lead and coordinate internal IT projects, from onboarding automation and device management to security improvements and tooling rollouts.
- Act as a trusted technical partner for employees and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, prioritization, and follow-through across distributed teams.
- Improve the security posture by strengthening access controls, endpoint management, compliance processes, and operational best practices.
- Manage and optimize the SaaS ecosystem, balancing usability, security, cost-efficiency, and maintainability.
- Create scalable internal processes and documentation that enable autonomy, consistency, and operational resilience as the company grows.
- Contribute to company-wide operational readiness initiatives, including audits, compliance efforts, and business continuity improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Internal IT, IT Operations, or Systems Administration within modern SaaS environments.
- Strong experience with identity and access management, endpoint management, SaaS administration, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience managing distributed or remote-first environments.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills — able to independently drive initiatives from planning to execution.
- A process-oriented mindset focused on scalability, automation, and operational clarity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- The ability to balance hands-on execution with longer-term operational improvements.
- Thrive in a remote, async, fast-paced environment and take ownership by figuring things out proactively.
- Strive to deliver impact, not just run tasks.
- Think in systems but execute with creativity.
- Are direct, collaborative, and have a growth mindset.
- Already actively use AI in daily work and can demonstrate tangible impact — not just AI-curious.
