Role overview

As a Product Manager – Video/Theia Platform at Target, you will own the India-based product execution for the core video platform (Theia) that powers Target’s surveillance experiences and enables video integration across enterprise workflows. This role involves partnering with U.S. product teams, engineering, UX, and enterprise stakeholders to evolve Theia as a scalable, resilient enterprise video platform. You will drive capabilities like streaming, playback, retention, and integrations while shaping future platform needs such as compute, scale, and secure access. The role requires collaboration to develop business objectives (OKRs), product discovery, backlog management, and prioritization to deliver high-impact outcomes for AP workflows, including monitoring, investigations, and operational visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Own the India-based product execution for the core video platform (Theia) capabilities that power Target’s surveillance experiences
  • Enable video to be easily accessed, used, and integrated across enterprise product workflows
  • Support users across Stores, GSCL locations, HQ, and enterprise teams who rely on video for monitoring, investigations, evidence capture, event review, operational visibility, and shortage and security workflows
  • Partner closely with U.S. product partners, engineering, UX, infrastructure, and enterprise product teams to evolve Theia as a flexible, scalable, and resilient enterprise video platform
  • Deliver and improve capabilities such as streaming, playback, retention, camera configuration, audit, permissions, health monitoring, and integrations
  • Shape future platform needs, including compute capabilities, scale, resiliency, and secure access patterns to leverage video more effectively across Target
  • Work in the product model and collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product
  • Build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and other relevant data points that explain the value and help prioritize the direction and desired outcomes
  • Work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and business partners to deliver a product
  • Serve as the 'voice of the product' with your product team and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders
  • Encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction
  • Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of product management and/or equivalent domain experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas, UI discovery and development)
  • Strong facilitation skills that guide groups towards productive outcomes while maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams
  • Curiosity with a passion for learning and contributing to a growth culture

Nice to have

  • Product management experience in Reporting/Dashboarding
  • Stores/properties experience
