- Build across the stack while ensuring features are tested, monitored, and maintainable
- Partner with Product on requirements and priorities, providing technical reality checks
- Partner with company leadership on technical planning, resourcing, and sequencing
Requirements
- Hands-on technical leadership experience (e.g., tech lead, engineering manager, or player-coach)
- 2-3 years of people leadership experience (preferred)
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience shipping AI features to production, owning the lifecycle from problem framing to post-launch iteration
- Strong fullstack fundamentals across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar techniques in live systems
- Experience with observability and testing rigor (logging, monitoring, tracing, evaluation of AI behavior)
- Solid SQL, schema design, and ability to design scalable pipelines and systems
- Experience with defining success metrics, running experiments, and online/offline evaluations
- Production readiness: Docker fluency, CI/CD, and versioning habits for prompts, models, and datasets
- LLM platform breadth: experience integrating multiple providers, vector databases, and tools like LangChain
- Knowledge of or strong interest in security and compliance
