As a strategic contributor within Data Services, the Data Migration Engineer works closely with new and existing customers to deliver high quality, customized data migration solutions that support unique business needs, collaborating cross functionally with teams across Onboarding and Success Services, Development, Operations, Solution Services, and Support to deliver complex, end-to-end migration outcomes. The role operates as part of a global Data Services team leveraging a Follow the Sun delivery model to keep data moving across regions and time zones.
Responsibilities

- Perform data extractions, acquisition mergers, transformations, and data cleanup/quality services to support a wide range of customer scenarios and business requirements
- Develop standardized, efficient, and repeatable data scripts and workflows; perform audits and validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and deliver migration outcomes that maintain business continuity
- Contribute to a global delivery model by completing work independently while ensuring smooth handoffs and continuity across teams operating in different regions and time zones
- Remain adaptable to changing project plans and timelines, adjusting execution approaches as rescheduling or contingency planning is required
- Collaborate closely with Development teams to support testing, defect resolution, enhancements, and implementation of new or evolving solutions, while maintaining clear and accurate Data Services documentation
- Conduct ongoing analysis of customer data and competitor system structures, identifying opportunities to improve transformation efficiency and solution quality
- As Data Services tooling evolves, increasingly leverage cloud-based data platforms such as BigQuery to support migration workflows and downstream integrations
- Utilize emerging automation and intelligent tooling to improve migration speed, scalability, and quality, and provide feedback that helps shape how these tools are adopted responsibly
- Contribute to custom solution delivery and continuous improvement initiatives that advance Data Services capabilities, tooling, and processes
Requirements

- Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data mapping, and data quality best practices
- Comfort working in a collaborative, global team environment where work is shared across regions to maintain continuous delivery
- Ability to manage multiple competing project timelines while remaining highly detail oriented and customer focused
- Strong sense of ownership and initiative, balanced with the ability to align work to shared team standards, processes, and delivery goals
- Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to collaborate comfortably with engineering teams and non‑technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

- Interest in helping evaluate, validate, or refine AI assisted or agent-based workflows as part of future data migration capabilities
- Experience using Jira, SharePoint, or similar tools to track work, collaborate across teams, and document technical processes
