The role focuses on automating and optimizing operations and development processes, which is critical for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and related tools to reduce deployment costs and increase efficiency.
- Implement cost-effective cloud solutions and optimize resource utilization across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes across multiple environments to ensure high availability and reliability for end-users.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee automated testing to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security, reducing downtime and enhancing system performance.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and resolve configuration issues quickly and efficiently.
- Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes to streamline development and production environments.
- Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for CI/CD processes, deployment guidelines, and operational procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve DevOps practices and processes.
- Participate in training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge in cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
- Mentor and train junior team members to build a strong DevOps culture within the organization.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities to stay ahead of technological advancements and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Profound knowledge in cloud infrastructure, especially on platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong understanding of scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Expertise in using a wide range of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) including setting up, configuring, and optimizing.
- Proficiency in CI/CD methodologies and tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform).
- Strong command over containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with network protocols and standards, including HTTP, REST, SSL.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong decision-making skills.
- Highly proactive team player with an innovative approach to technology deployment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a dedication to technical excellence and user satisfaction.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and tools.
