Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong full-stack engineering expertise, architectural thinking, and a forward-looking approach to AI-enabled software development. The ideal candidate will lead technical design and implementation across frontend and backend systems while driving engineering excellence, collaboration, and the adoption of AI-driven development practices, including Agentic SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). The role involves working with a team of 10+ members, including three team leads, to establish technical direction, enable collaboration across engineering streams, and accelerate software delivery through modern architectures and AI-powered engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Architect and design scalable, secure, high-performance, end-to-end solutions using modern full-stack technologies.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical decisions across frontend and backend development, providing architectural guidance and direction to engineers and team leads.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team of 10+ members, including three team leads, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment across development streams.
- AI-Forward Engineering: Champion AI-enabled software development practices, exploring and implementing Agentic SDLC approaches to accelerate development, improve engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance software quality.
- Engineering Standards: Define and enforce technical standards, coding guidelines, design patterns, architectural principles, and engineering best practices.
- Mentoring and Development: Mentor engineers and team leads, conduct architecture reviews and code reviews, and promote continuous technical learning.
- Full-Stack Development: Guide the development of responsive, maintainable frontend applications and robust backend services.
- API and System Integration: Drive REST API design, system integrations, microservices architecture, and distributed system design.
- Performance and Security: Ensure application scalability, performance optimization, security, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, developer tools, and AI-powered engineering solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, QA, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Shared Architectural Vision: Act as a collaborative technical leader who aligns engineers and team leads around a shared architectural vision.
- Hands-On Leadership: Balance hands-on technical problem-solving with architecture, mentoring, and technical decision-making.
- Ownership and Accountability: Encourage ownership, accountability, transparency, and effective collaboration across the team.
- Measurable AI Adoption: Drive experimentation and adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices based on measurable business and delivery outcomes.
- Business Alignment: Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions while balancing quality, maintainability, delivery timelines, and cost.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, and technical solution design, with demonstrated architectural leadership.
- React.js: Strong expertise in React.js for frontend application development.
- Node.js and Next.js: Solid experience with Node.js and Next.js for server-side development and full-stack applications.
- Express.js: Hands-on experience with Express.js for building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Python: Proficiency in Python for backend services, scripting, automation, and microservices.
- Frontend Technologies: Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and modern frontend development practices.
- APIs and Distributed Systems: Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, system integrations, and distributed applications.
- Databases: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- System Design: Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, application security, and architectural patterns.
- People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multiple team leads in a large development team.
Nice to have
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Agentic SDLC: Practical experience implementing AI-assisted software engineering and Agentic SDLC workflows.
- AI Agents and LLMs: Understanding of AI agents, LLM-powered development tools, and automation across software development activities.
- AI Across Engineering: Experience applying AI to requirements analysis, code generation, testing, code reviews, documentation, and developer productivity.
- AI Tooling: Familiarity with AI development tools and agentic frameworks, with the ability to evaluate their practical value in enterprise engineering environments.
- Continuous Improvement: A continuous-improvement mindset focused on engineering efficiency, quality, delivery predictability, and responsible AI adoption.
