Role overview
SafetyWing is building a global social safety net for remote workers, offering health, insurance, and retirement products that aim to replace national welfare systems. The General Manager for Nomad Insurance will lead the end‑to‑end product strategy and growth for the Nomad line (Essential, Complete, Citizen), overseeing product vision, user experience, operational execution, and a cross‑functional team to scale revenue from $30 million to $300 million.
Responsibilities
- Being the overall owner of Nomad Insurance, you will be responsible for solving problems and hitting product and growth goals, and ensuring they remain aligned with the company’s broader strategy and vision
- Being the voice of our Nomad Insurance customers and ensuring their experience is amazing and we make something people love
- Working with the product team to define product goals, prioritize features, and product improvements
- Leading and mentoring the Nomad Insurance team, ensuring the team remains organized, joyful, and productive
- Managing the key internal and external relationships needed to successfully run the product
Requirements
- Have experience in product management or as an entrepreneur
- Bring an entrepreneurial mindset, with high agency and risk‑taking ability
- Are a strong problem solver who get things done
- Have solid leadership skills and can rally people around a clear vision, while helping them grow
- Are organized and results‑oriented, with the ability to plan projects, gather the right resources, and follow through despite challenges
- Have strong product intuition and can build things people love so much they tell their friends about it
