Key highlights
- 4+ years of growth/performance/full‑funnel marketing experience in subscription or SaaS
- End‑to‑end ownership of user acquisition and conversion funnel
- Strong copywriting ability for blogs, landing pages, and email campaigns
- Hands‑on experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests and other growth experiments
- Ability to work independently across content, analytics, and lifecycle/email marketing
- Passion for privacy‑respecting, user‑funded products
Role overview
Responsibilities
- Own the user acquisition and conversion funnel end to end: from how people first hear about Kagi to converting a trial into a paid subscriber
- Write and ship content - blog posts, landing pages, comparison pages, email campaigns - that explains why Kagi is worth paying for in a market full of free alternatives
- Build and improve lifecycle marketing: onboarding sequences, activation nudges, win-back campaigns, and renewal/retention messaging
- Dig into analytics yourself: track funnel performance, find drop-off points, and turn data into a prioritized list of experiments
- Run growth experiments end to end - hypothesis, build, measure, iterate - without needing a dedicated analytics or engineering team to do it for you
- Partner with product and design to influence onboarding flows, pricing pages, and in-product moments that affect conversion and retention
- Represent the user's voice in growth decisions, consistent with Kagi's position as a privacy-respecting, user-funded product - we grow by earning trust, not by exploiting attention
Requirements
- 4+ years in a growth, performance, or full-funnel marketing role at a subscription or SaaS product, with real ownership of outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to operate across content, analytics, and lifecycle/email marketing without a large team behind you
- Strong writing - you can produce clear, persuasive copy yourself, not just brief someone else to do it
- Experience running and analyzing growth experiments (A/B tests, lifecycle campaigns, landing page iterations) and knowing when to kill an experiment versus scale it
- High comfort with ambiguity: you can take "conversion is too low" and turn it into a concrete plan without a lot of hand‑holding
- Genuine interest in privacy-respecting products - you'll need to grow Kagi without the ad-tracking playbook most growth marketers default to
