Role overview
The role involves planning and implementing functional verification for ASIC designs of Graphics Processors and Tegra SoCs, including regression testing, coverage closure, pre‑silicon validation, and collaboration with hardware, performance, FPGA, and software teams. You will own ASIC verification of complex RTL, ensure functional and code coverage, and participate in post‑silicon debugging.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement functional verification of IP/Cluster/SOC designs for Graphics Processors and Tegra SoCs.
- Develop regression plans and achieve functional coverage closure for RTL code.
- Perform pre‑silicon validation activities, including XPROP simulations and GLS.
- Own ASIC verification of IP/Cluster for complex designs in RTL.
- Collaborate with hardware architects and designers to make implementation choices.
- Interact with performance verification teams to augment verification using dynamic simulations and formal techniques.
- Ensure functional and code coverage of verified RTL according to specifications.
- Partner with FPGA and software teams to enable software testing on hardware.
- Participate in post‑silicon verification and debugging activities.
Requirements
- BS / MS or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of design experience.
- Experience in ASIC verification of complex design units for at least one or two projects.
- Background with design and verification tools such as VCS, Debussy, and GDB.
- Exposure to SystemVerilog and UVM methodology for ASIC verification.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of memory controllers or prior experience verifying IP/clusters with memory access.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Scripting experience in Python, Perl, or shell.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
