Role overview
Binance is a leading global blockchain ecosystem, trusted by over 320 million people worldwide. The Binance Accelerator Program (BAP) is a 3-6 month internship for early career talent to gain firsthand experience in the digital assets space. In this role, you will join the Risk AI DS team, which builds risk-detection models on large-scale user behavior, fund-flow, and market data, with opportunities to own real-world projects end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Own a real-world project stream end-to-end, such as syndicate detection, user behavior sequencing, market manipulation detection, or feature discovery.
- Process and analyze billions of records using PySpark, Hive, and Trino, and develop robust SQL pipelines for feature engineering and validation.
- Build, evaluate, and iterate on machine learning models, translating model performance into meaningful business metrics such as detection rate, false-positive rate, and latency.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundation in machine learning concepts, with proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
- Comfortable working with large-scale datasets.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong instinct for investigating data anomalies and identifying root causes.
- Fluency in English is required to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders, articulate technical findings clearly, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Spark is a plus.
- Additional languages would be an advantage.
