Role overview
Logos is a movement supporting the development of the decentralised web, aiming to rebuild civil society using decentralised technologies. It is a sovereign, open-source technology stack designed to create corruption-resistant social institutions that champion personal liberties and collective abundance. The Circles initiative involves self-organised groups that address local issues through parallel governance, leveraging Logos tech and values to build trust and experiment with real-world applications. The role seeks Activist Builder Volunteers passionate about blockchain and privacy-preserving technology to support local communities through alternate forms of governance.
Responsibilities
- Commit to at least 2 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months, though one year is preferable
- Co-Steward meet-ups, introduce Logos, and help guide the group on anything technical; development needs, leveraging existing OS resources etc.
- Help onboard Circle members to Logos, e.g. running a Logos node, or connecting builders with relevant Logos team members to support integrations
- Create space for others to contribute, grow, and take ownership over time
- Project manage the delivery of any technical elements related to winnable issues
- Spread the Logos love
- Coordinate with core contributors from Logos
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Background in software development / engineering and/or Computer Science
- Be aligned with the Logos mission
- Have enough free time to dedicate to the circles
- Have a deep level of technological knowledge so you can help apply the Logos stack to winnable issues
- Be passionate about social issues and have desire to be part of the change
