This role leads the Data & AI consulting and advisory practice, serving as an advisory-first leader accountable for the quality, credibility, and outcomes of the Service Line's consulting engagements. The role is critical in delivering early engagements that establish client trust and create the platform for the Service Line to expand.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Data & AI consulting and advisory practice — methods, quality standards, and reputation.
- Set engagement standards and delivery playbooks that make consulting outcomes consistent and repeatable.
- Serve as the senior advisory voice of the Service Line with clients and internal leadership.
- Own successful delivery of critical landing engagements.
- Shape and oversee client engagements: scope, approach, staffing, and client outcome.
- Accountability measured by consulting engagements delivered to a reference-able standard and the pipeline they generate.
- Responsible for deliverable quality, client satisfaction — across the consulting portfolio.
- Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on Data & AI strategy, adoption, and transformation.
- Translate complex, ambiguous client problems into structured, outcome-oriented engagement approaches.
- Build durable relationships that position the Service Line for expansion within accounts.
- Lead and develop Service Line advisory staff; partner with AI-CoE to deploy consulting staff in client engagements in a matrix operating model.
- Build consulting bench strength as the practice scales.
- Feedback from engagements back into CoE assets, accelerators, and reusable methods.
- Support client partners — solution shaping, proposals, and client workshops — as the advisory authority.
- Contribute to the Service Line's go-to-market narrative and thought leadership.
Requirements
- 12–18 years in technology/management consulting, with a strong Data & AI advisory track record.
- Proven trusted-advisor standing with senior client stakeholders; shapes ambiguous problems into deliverable engagements.
- Data & AI and GenAI landscape and enterprise adoption patterns.
- Experience working alongside engineering and architecture teams in a services or product organization.
- History of leading complex consulting engagements to reference-able outcomes.
- Comfortable supporting pursuits and shaping proposals.
- First-level people leadership; able to lead direct staff and matrixed specialists.
- Ability to lead technical workshops with technical stakeholders in client environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, technical authoring, ability to communicate technical concepts, risks and trade-offs to stakeholders of varying technical competency.
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA/PhD or equivalent Qualification.
