Role overview

This is a SPLUNK Engineer/SME position focused on designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining Splunk infrastructure on-premises and in cloud environments. The role involves leading installation and upgradation of Splunk using Ansible and Kubernetes, troubleshooting server and forwarder issues, and developing automation scripts. After User Acceptance Testing (UAT), the engineer will hand over the project to Splunk Development and Support Teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, support and maintain the Splunk infrastructure on Premises and Cloud
Conduct installation and upgradation of Splunk environments using Ansible and Kubernetes
Troubleshoot Splunk server and forwarder problems and issues
Design core scripts to automate Splunk installation, maintenance and alerting tasks
Support Splunk on Linux and Windows-based platforms
Hand over completed Splunk implementations to Splunk Development and Support Teams after UAT

Requirements

Good exposure with Kubernetes, Ansible and Linux
Good knowledge on Splunk Components including Deployment server, Forwarders, indexers, search head and License Master
Knowledge implementing Splunk on Standalone, distributed, and clustered environments
Exposure in both on-Premises and Cloud Splunk Deployments
Hands-on experience in deploying Splunk components across Standalone, distributed, and clustered environments
