Role overview
People10 is seeking an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in ReactJS, Node.js, and database technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering depth with solution-architecture judgment, owning technical design decisions, cloud and security posture, and system-level API integrations while having previously served in a technical leadership or team lead role. The role spans technical leadership, architecture, full stack development, integrations, cloud, security, code quality, delivery, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Own application architecture and technical design decisions — scalability, security, integration patterns, and long-term maintainability.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS, Node.js, and modern development frameworks.
- Build responsive, high-performance, and reusable UI components using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and business logic using Node.js and suitable frameworks such as Express.js.
- Design and oversee integration with external/third-party REST APIs, ensuring reliable, secure, and well-governed data exchange.
- Design, develop, and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Guide cloud architecture and deployment decisions, balancing scalability, cost, and operational simplicity.
- Embed authentication, authorization, and data-protection practices into the architecture from the outset, not as an afterthought.
- Ensure clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code through code reviews, automated testing, and established coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions on time.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production defects.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS and Node.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and a good understanding of asynchronous programming.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, including with external/third-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Experience in database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture — making and owning system-level design decisions.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and application security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection).
- Prior experience in a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or equivalent leadership role, with demonstrated ownership of technical deliverables.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while guiding and collaborating with a development team.
- Experience with TypeScript and modern React development practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and deployment automation.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint planning.
- Exposure to monitoring, logging, and production support practices.
- Demonstrate hands-on technical expertise while leading development activities.
- Break down requirements into technical tasks and guide the team through implementation.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, delivery timelines, and code quality.
- Mentor team members, resolve technical blockers, and encourage knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar), including using them to accelerate delivery across a team, is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Azure cloud services is preferred; familiarity with AWS is a plus.
- Experience integrating with Transportation Management System (TMS) APIs or similar logistics/supply-chain platforms is a plus.
