Role overview

The SAP APIs & Integrations Developer role seeks a professional with 0.6 months to 12+ years of experience to design, develop, and manage APIs across SAP and non‑SAP systems. The position focuses on creating REST, OData, and SOAP services using SAP Gateway, SPROXY, and SICF, while implementing secure integrations through OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and versioning. Candidates will work with API management tools, produce OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, and collaborate with middleware such as SAP CPI, PI/PO, and Integration Suite.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain RESTful, OData, and SOAP services using SAP technologies (Gateway, SPROXY, SICF)
Implement integrations using OAuth2, JWT, API throttling, rate‑limiting, and versioning strategies
Design APIs following API‑first principles and document them using OpenAPI/Swagger
Work with middleware/tools such as SAP CPI, PI/PO, API Management, and Integration Suite

Requirements

Strong experience with REST, OData, SOAP, SPROXY, RFCs, IDocs, JSON/XML, and API security
Familiarity with API Management, rate‑limiting, API keys, and token flows
Experience preparing API specifications, design documents, and interface catalogs
Understanding of integration patterns, cloud connectors, destinations, and connectivity

Nice to have

Experience with BTP Integration Suite, event‑driven architecture, queues, and webhooks
Knowledge of CI/CD for integration artifacts, Git, and DevOps processes
