Role overview
This is a remote Scala developer role at EXANTE, a wealth tech company providing centralized trading solutions and B2B financial infrastructure. The position involves supporting an existing microservices code base, developing external connection points (HTTP API, FIX API) to the trading system, and optimizing the architecture of existing infrastructure for performance and maintainability. Responsibilities
- Support of the existing extensive code base (microservices)
- Development of external connection points to the trading system: backend for interfaces, HTTP API, FIX API
- Optimization and modification of the architecture of existing infrastructure in order to increase productivity and facilitate further maintenance
Requirements
- 3+ years of Scala development experience
- Knowledge of various JVM multithreading models (blocking, CAS, Future/Promise, Actors)
- Understanding of the basic ideas of functional programming (recursion, laziness, pure functions)
- Knowledge and ability to work with scala collections, understanding of for-comprehensions
- Experience with the akka library (akka-http, akka-streams, actor model)
- Knowledge of basic data structures and basic algorithms
- Experience with SQL
- Ability to write tests and understanding the need for this
- Independence and responsibility in work
Nice to have
- Experience in a fintech company
- Trading experience and knowledge of financial mathematics
- Experience in writing multi-threaded, high-load systems
