Role overview
Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables real‑time answers across structured and unstructured data for Fortune‑500 customers through its cloud‑based Search AI Platform. As a Solutions Architect you will act as a technical authority and trusted advisor to sales, customers, partners and the community, helping them solve business challenges with the Elastic Stack while continuously learning and improving.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for your accounts and account managers in your assigned territory.
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ goals and objectives, and articulate how Elastic’s offerings address their needs.
- Craft and own value‑based relationships at all levels in customer organizations.
- Actively participate in all phases of planning and execution for your territory, from initial discovery to the technical win.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Elastic products and solutions to demonstrate value in sales meetings and at events such as meetups and conferences.
- Advise the sales team on effective ways of positioning Elastic products, solutions and services.
- Onboard, educate and enable partners, and support them in sales cycles.
- Craft collateral, contribute to programs and collaborate with other Elasticians to meet individual client needs.
- Be the voice of the customer and community to communicate needs, gaps, and improvements to engineering and leadership teams.
- Deepen both sales and technical skills through self‑driven education while taking advantage of Elastic’s professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- A track record of success in a technical presales role—enough experience selling and implementing technology to earn customer trust.
- A proven record of articulating and selling the benefits of modern platforms, software and technologies.
- A real passion for curiosity and continuous learning; invests in self as much as in professional relationships.
- A history of successful customer relations, developing architectures that meet goals, solve problems, or outpace competitors.
- The ability to influence and convince teams of ideas, technologies, or architectural patterns.
- The ability to inspire groups, both large and small.
- A willingness to travel 30% within the region and occasionally internationally.
