Additional details
- Onehouse is a mission-driven company dedicated to freeing data from data platform lock-in, delivering the industry’s most interoperable data lakehouse through a cloud-native managed service built on Apache Hudi. The platform enables organizations to ingest data at scale with minute-level freshness, centrally store it, and make it available to any downstream query engine and use case (from traditional analytics to real-time AI/ML).
- The Onehouse team is composed of self-driven, inspired, and seasoned builders who have created large-scale data systems and globally distributed platforms that power core operations for major enterprises including Uber, Snowflake, AWS, LinkedIn, Confluent, and many more.
- Onehouse has raised $68M in total funding, including a $35M Series B round backed by Craft, Greylock, and Addition Ventures, and is seeking rising talent to grow with the company and become future team leaders.
- When joining Onehouse, employees join a team of passionate professionals tackling deeply technical challenges of building a 2-sided engineering product. The engineering team bridges the worlds of open source and enterprise: contributing directly to and growing Apache Hudi (already used at scale by global enterprises like Uber, Amazon, ByteDance etc) and concurrently defining the new industry category of transactional data lake. The Cloud Infrastructure team acts as the glue binding these efforts together, enabling data platform and infrastructure teams to succeed by serving as the foundation of a truly cloud native product.
- Onehouse core values: One Team (optimize for company, team, self in that order; support co-workers with empathy, give more than you take to build a unified team everyone is proud to be part of), Tough & Persevering (operate in a large, fast-growing, highly competitive space; take hardships in stride, stay positive, focus energy on the path forward, develop a champion's mindset to overcome odds, maintain day one energy), Keep Making It Better Always (aim for 1% daily improvement; be organized, communicate promptly, take even small tasks seriously, track all small ideas, and pay it forward), Think Big, Act Fast (balance bold innovation with prioritization, break down big ideas, set them in rapid motion, measure, refine, repeat; prioritize impact over time, with great execution separating promising companies from proven unicorns), Be Customer Obsessed (all team members are responsible for driving the best experience for all customers (OSS users or paid customers); if something is broken, own it, speak up, take action, never ignore issues, be the change you want to see in the company).
