Role overview
Dautom is seeking a Data Migration Specialist to support a trusted client known for its commitment to quality and innovation. The selected candidate(s) will be groomed to take up Data Migration development and execution activities for upcoming Digital Suite and BSS Switch project deliveries. This is an opportunity to work on end-to-end data migration across all project phases, from discussion and design through implementation and sign-off.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of Data Migration activities such as Discussion, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, Execution, Debugging, and Documentation
- Take ownership of Data Migration until delivery and sign-off
- Ensure thoroughness and accuracy of solutions
- Follow the quality guidelines as defined in company quality processes and procedures
- Provide Technical assistance to Solution Integration team to analyze issues arising during various testing phases
- Display professional demeanor and clarity when addressing all interactions, both internally and externally
- Be willing to travel abroad for project implementations
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience
- Experience in ETL/Oracle PL/SQL development OR Java OR Python programming (any 2 of the bold essential skill areas as mandatory)
- Sound knowledge in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL/Java/Python, programming shell scripts, troubleshooting and performance tuning, with clear understanding of coding concepts
- Knowledge of any one database like MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Knowledge of any scripting language like Shell, PERL, Python, etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of other engineers worldwide to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
- BE / BTech / MCA / MSc (For those with relevant work experience: Graduate with appropriate certification is sufficient)
Nice to have
- Experience in end-to-end data migration
- Exposure to any of the Migration Tools
- Telecom domain knowledge
