Role overview
The BCW Technologies Infrastructure (BCWT-I) team is seeking a senior Systems Administrator/DevOps engineer with at least five years of experience, strong technical expertise, and excellent English communication skills. This remote role involves owning entire verticals of operations and collaborating with team members to design, develop, and maintain large‑scale systems.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage entire verticals of operations within the BCWT‑I infrastructure.
- Coordinate with team members to communicate, develop, and maintain large‑scale systems.
- Utilize Linux tools (df, du, htop, tmux, memory‑management modules) for system monitoring and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator or senior DevOps engineer.
- Very high technical proficiency.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- General Linux experience, specifically Ubuntu and Debian‑based distributions.
- Proficiency with Linux tools such as df, du, htop, tmux, and memory‑management modules.
- Project management skills (Jira).
- Expert containerization skills (Docker).
- Expert cloud service platform skills (AWS, GCP).
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Intermediate Python/Bash scripting.
- Intermediate systems engineering skills.
- Kubernetes experience.
- Helm charts experience.
- Ansible experience.
