Role overview

We are seeking an English-fluent Mid Level Cloud / DevOps (SRE) Engineer based in Latin America who can work remotely. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, embrace change while maintaining strong attention to detail, and be a proactive learner who continuously improves their skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Define and improve system health metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
- Support incident response and root-cause analysis for reliability issues.
- Implement security hardening and follow cloud infrastructure security best practices.
- Integrate code quality and security checks into development and deployment workflows, including SonarQube.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with software engineers, Tech Leads, and Architects to improve application reliability and deployment processes.
- Help establish and maintain best practices around infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks across the development and production environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and system health metrics.
- Familiarity with security hardening and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality/security tools.
- Experience using AI tools.
- Highly autonomous and self-sufficient in their processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed engineering teams.
- Strong English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Familiarity with AWS networking, IAM, and security services.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
- Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews.
- Experience implementing SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Previous experience supporting distributed or nearshore engineering teams.
Benefits
- Salary range: (USD) $3,200 - $4,800 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
