Data Engineer / Data Slinger

Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer / Data Slinger to build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical data models. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, Python, Advanced Excel, and Data Modeling with the ability to transform raw data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to develop robust data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines. Build and optimize data warehouses using Snowflake. Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation using Python. Create and maintain dimensional data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema. Analyze large datasets to identify trends and deliver business insights. Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability. Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements. Automate recurring data processing and reporting tasks. Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation across data assets. Troubleshoot data issues and implement continuous improvements. Required SkillsTechnical Skills Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse Hands-on experience with Power BI (Reports, Dashboards, DAX, Power Query) Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, Advanced Formulas, VBA is a plus) Strong SQL skills Expertise in Data Modeling Star Schema Snowflake Schema Fact & Dimension Tables ETL/ELT development experience Data cleansing and transformation techniques Performance tuning and query optimization Good to Have Azure Data Factory or AWS Data Services dbt Apache Airflow Git/GitHub CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of data governance and security best practices Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. 3–7 years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence.
