Role overview

We are seeking a hands-on .NET/C# Developer to join a small team of passionate developers focused on transforming how enterprises and government organizations manage correspondence. In this role, you will maintain, evolve, and modernize our .NET-based platform using the latest AI coding tools, with opportunities to integrate LLMs and generative AI into the platform and contribute to a new AI-powered automated workflow product for correspondence processes.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, develop, and integrate advanced new features into the correspondence-management platform
Build new .NET-based services and refine existing platform components to ensure high performance, security, and maintainability
Integrate LLMs and generative AI into the platform
Work on the new automated workflow product that leverages generative AI to automate correspondence processes
Build and test a new web platform using .NET/C#
Migrate the existing Java application to .NET using AI tools
Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and bug fixes for the existing platform to ensure performance and reliability
Collaborate with team members, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to software development best practices
Stay updated on emerging AI trends, experiment with new technologies, and continuously propose improvements to the platform
Architect and implement new modules and services that extend the correspondence-management platform
Develop and maintain integrations between RESTful services, messaging queues, third-party APIs, and the core platform
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards
Work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system designs, integrations, and technical processes

Requirements

Proficient in .NET/C# with hands-on experience using .NET to build production systems
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Skilled in integrating APIs, working with databases (especially SQL Server and Oracle), and managing web services within enterprise applications
Familiarity with tools and techniques for database/application monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with AI development tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude, or similar platforms that enhance and expedite the development process
High level of independence and adaptability; capable of working without direct oversight and proactively taking initiative
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Commitment to writing high-quality code and ensuring the reliability and performance of applications
Proactive in learning new technologies and responsive to shifting priorities
Strong willingness to learn and expand skillset (including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, Angular/React, and Web API)

Nice to have

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, Angular/React, and Web API
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET/C#
Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure code quality and reliability
Able to work aligned with the Eastern Time (EST)
