Data & Automation Engineer responsible for designing relational databases, building ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrating disparate data sources to support finance consulting and Power BI reporting. Responsibilities

Design and maintain relational databases (PostgreSQL) for internal reporting and client projects
Build and operate ETL/ELT pipelines in Python to ingest data from diverse sources (APIs, SFTP, cloud exports, third‑party systems)
Connect and integrate multiple data sources into unified data platforms (e.g., ERP systems, CRMs, accounting tools)
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting use cases
Support dashboard backends for Power BI and custom reporting tools
Work closely with finance consultants to structure financial data and improve reporting efficiency
Deep technical work combining database design, Python automation, and data integration in a fast‑paced environment where pipelines directly support business decision‑making through Power BI dashboards and custom reporting tools

Requirements

2–3 years of hands‑on experience in SQL database development (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) including schema design, indexing, and query optimization
Strong Python skills for data engineering – building pipelines, API integrations, and automation workflows
Hands‑on experience ingesting data from diverse sources: REST APIs, databases, and cloud platforms
Comfortable working with command line, Linux environments, and containerized workflows (Docker)
Ability to structure and clean messy financial or operational data from heterogeneous sources
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Fluent English – written and spoken
Independent, quality‑driven approach with a hands‑on mentality
