Role overview
Lever Foundation is seeking a Social Media Manager to run multiple social media accounts on platforms including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram. The role involves creating regular photo, video, and news article link posts; monitoring media for content ideas; brainstorming ways to increase the Foundation's online presence and regional/global reach; and occasionally helping draft online blogs and similar written content. The role is based in India and may be part-time or full-time.
Responsibilities
- Run multiple social media accounts on platforms including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram.
- Create regular posts on social media platforms, including photo posts, video posts, and news article links created on easy-to-use platforms like Canva.
- Monitor media regularly for stories and news relating to the Foundation's areas of work in order to come up with original content ideas.
- Work with other colleagues to brainstorm new ways to increase Lever Foundation's online presence and regional/global reach.
- Occasionally help draft online blogs and similar written content.
- Ensure content is focused on promoting awareness about improving animal welfare and sustainability.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Hindu.
- Previous experience managing successful social media accounts.
- Experience managing social media accounts for businesses.
- Passion for promoting animal welfare and/or sustainability issues.
- Ability to create catchy content and captions that attract attention, shares, and likes.
- Ability to create stylish visuals using basic graphic design software such as Canva.
- Efficiency working from home and comfort working with colleagues across multiple time zones.
- Positive attitude and success-driven personality.
- Self-directed high-achiever.
