Role overview
This role is part of the Controlling Capability Centers, serving the entire Finance & Controlling organization as a central command for CO module and Management Accounting activities on the S/4/HANA system. The position requires engagement with Global Functions, Business Units, and Hitachi’s central organization to understand requirements, priorities, and planned initiatives, supporting ongoing harmonization of controlling-related activities following the company’s S/4HANA rollout across 60 countries (Project Reiwa).
Responsibilities
- Map business processes with a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis, and set up procedures, develop guidelines, playbooks, and training materials as part of the Record 2 Report process
- Support Global Functions and Business Units on new initiatives
- Perform master data maintenance related to Activity Type and Activity Rates
- Execute Result Analysis (RA) runs and analyze impacts on Revenue, COGS, and Inventory for Sales order, Service order, and Project (WBS) archetypes
- Manage Material Ledger and assess its impact on Result Analysis and Inventory valuation
- Execute periodic activities relating to the Controlling Module
- Oversee Product Costing (Standard costing), Purchase info records, Cost Object Controlling, and Profit Centre Accounting
- Set up Assessment and Distribution Cycles including CO-PA cycles
- Conduct Value Flow Analysis and Margin Reporting processes, analyze under/over absorption of overheads, and identify root causes
- Maintain Activity Rates and assess their impact on Inventory valuation
- Evaluate run-organization requirements
- Ensure adherence to Internal Controls
- Automate processes
- Maintain necessary knowledge documents and playbooks related to processes
- Optimize own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and report standardization across all 60 countries and all Business Units
- Adhere to Controlling Capability Center KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and maintain service quality
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements
- Should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with CMA / CA / CMA Inter / CA Inter / M. Com qualification
- More than 4-6 years of experience in S/4HANA
- SAP technical knowledge of S/4HANA FI/CO (mandatory)
- Experience in stakeholder management, global orientation, and networking skills
- Analytical capabilities, strong motivation for delivering on time, and ability to work under pressure
- Result-oriented team player with strong attention to detail, good organizational and project management skills
- Working knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, Projects, and Material master modules
- Ability to work with diverse teams across different countries
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language
Nice to have
- Certification in SAP FICO modules
- Preferable experience working in a Manufacturing Organization and Project environment, or R2R (Record to Report) experience
