Role overview
At Tide, we help SMEs save time and money by offering business accounts, banking services, and connected administrative solutions like invoicing and accounting. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will drive data-driven decisions to influence marketing strategies (especially in the Subscription business), partner with Product teams to define KPIs, and democratize insights through self-serve dashboards. You will solve key business problems using SQL/Python, forecast performance, and communicate insights to stakeholders, all while fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
- Influence marketing strategies, especially in the Subscription business, driven by powerful insights
- Present insights to stakeholders & senior management, translating analysis into the 'so what?' and identifying possible actions to take as a result
- Partner with Product teams to build KPIs for new product launches and monitor performance of existing products
- Use SQL/Python expertise to interrogate data to solve key business problems
- Proactively bring new ideas to the table relating to business questions, analytics approaches, datasets, and ways of working
- Deal with ambiguity and form ambiguous questions into defined solutions to improve the business area
- Democratize insights by helping stakeholders with self-serve dashboards
- Assess opportunities, understand behavior, and test hypotheses with data analysis
- Communicate segmentation analysis, relevant trends, and campaign performances (including SLA’s & KPI’s) to internal and external stakeholders across the business
- Forecast through Uncertainty/Sensitivity testing and scenario planning to create data-driven performance from historic and current data
- Present data in a clear and easy-to-comprehend manner, using visualization tools (Looker)
Requirements
- Strong ownership mindset and an eagerness to see the impact of your work
- Comfortable leading and solving vague and ambiguous problems independently
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain basic statistical concepts to business users
- Always looks for new opportunities to create impact for the business; does not wait to be told what to do
- Experience in taking a business question or problem and turning it into an insight brief
- Good SQL/Python proficiency
- A track record of delivering insight and actionable recommendations in an analytical role
- Ability to effectively form relationships with the business to help with the adoption of data-driven decision-making
- Experience capturing stakeholder requirements across various levels of seniority and functions and building appropriate analytical solutions
- Self-starter who takes initiative in spotting opportunities and finding ways to solve challenges with data
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Solid grounding in statistics and experimentation methodologies
