Role overview

Fishing Planet is an independent game studio that has created a successful free-to-play game available on eight platforms, including Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile (iOS and Android), with a global community of over 35 million players. They are looking for a Unity Developer to join their team and help shape the future of Fishing Planet across multiple platforms, contributing to a complex ecosystem of gameplay mechanics, physics, backend infrastructure, and internal tools.

Responsibilities

Development of gameplay logic for complex F2P game
Developing core gameplay mechanics
Supporting and extending already implemented game features
Developers toolkit improvements and implementation
Performance optimization

Requirements

5+ years of programming experience
3+ years of game development in Unity, solid understanding of Unity engine
Senior skills in .NET Framework and C#
Understanding of multithreading and synchronisation patterns
Knowledge and understanding of design patterns and OOA&D
Basic understanding of shader programing

Nice to have

Fundamental mathematics and physics background as well as experience with game physics engines
ECS experience
HDRP experience
Unity DOTS experience
Unity Burst Compiler utilization experience
