Role overview
The CSG Assure team is developing an advanced telecom testing software solution used by mobile operators across the globe, including leading operators like AT&T, Tata, and Orange, and is seeking a skilled developer to join its small, agile team. In this role, you will build applications that help mobile operator customers validate and optimize mobile service performance for their roamers and local subscribers, including developing the team’s next-generation mobile test probe for 4G, 5G, and IoT to simulate mobile users using voice, SMS, and data services, with core development work completed in C & C++ on the Linux platform. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled, analytical, customer-focused professional with a strong developer profile who enjoys taking responsibility to ensure customers get full value from the team’s high-tech solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build applications that help mobile operator customers validate and optimize mobile service performance for their roamers and local subscribers
- Develop next-generation mobile test probes for 4G, 5G and IoT to simulate mobile users using voice, SMS and data services
- Perform core development work in C & C++ on the Linux platform
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in telecom
- Strong proficiency in C++, data structures and multi-threading programming
- Linux system knowledge
- Solid understanding of the Radio Access Network (RAN) layer of mobile networks; the signaling and data exchange between devices and the network
- Good knowledge of mobile network technologies (3G, 4G, IMS/VoLTE, 5G, IoT) and network signaling (e.g. SIP, RRC, NAS) as defined in 3GPP
- Talent for AI driven development
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Experience in development against cellular modems; experience with either AT commands, QMI, or modem vendor SDK
- Experience with network monitoring tools and protocol analyzers like Wireshark, QCAT
- Familiarity with scripting languages, e.g. LUA, Shell, Perl
- Understanding of eUICC/eSIM, GSMA standards
- Android development experience
