Manual Test Engineer

Job Title: Manual Test Engineer Experience: 0–5 Years Salary: ₹3.5–14 LPA Job Type: Full-Time Locations: Bangalore, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Delhi, Kolkata Manual Test Engineer Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web, mobile, and desktop applications to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role is ideal for freshers and experienced professionals with a passion for software testing, bug identification, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and functional requirements. Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects. Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts. Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing. Ensure applications meet functional and usability requirements. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives. Prepare testing reports and maintain QA documentation. Suggest improvements to testing processes and product quality. Required Skills Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications. Ability to write effective test cases and bug reports. Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla. Knowledge of SQL for database validation is an added advantage. Basic understanding of API testing using Postman is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 0–5 years of experience in Manual Testing. ISTQB Foundation Certification is an added advantage. Knowledge of Agile methodology is preferred.
